ABOUT UNDER THE SUN Joyce Stratton first opened Under The Sun in 1975 as a consignment gift shop in the attic space of the refurnished 1860 Congregational Church in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Over the next 20 years, with extensive remodeling, the shop expanded to include the work of many local artists and craftspeople. In 1995, Under The Sun relocated to the first floor of the building, allowing the shop to grow into the elegant and exciting gallery and gift shop it is today. We are located in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, on Water Street right next to the Post Office, and are open from 10 to 5 Monday through Saturday and 11 to 4 on Sunday.
